Paris St-Germain are through to their first Champions League final courtesy of a deserved 3-0 victory over RB Leipzig in an entertaining semi-final in Lisbon on Tuesday night. One of Europe’s biggest spenders, but also one of the continent’s most high-profile underachievers on the grandest stage, PSG finally seized their opportunity courtesy of goals from Marquinhos, Angel di Maria and Juan Bernat. With the fit again Kylian Mbappe and Neymar terrorising the Leipzig backline, the French side should have been out of sight before the break, but the latter twice hit the post – from a clipped finish and then an opportunist free-kick from range – before side-footing another chance wide at the near post. Prior to PSG’s second, Yussuf Poulsen had Leipzig’s best chance but fired wide after he was found by a Dani Olmo pull-back. Bernat sealed the win in the second half with a header that Leipzig felt was offside but was legitimate as the prone Nordi Mukiele, who had slipped in the build-up, was playing the scorer onside. PSG will find out who they face in Sunday’s final when five-time winners Bayern Munich play Lyon in the other semi-final on Wednesday. The vast sums of money pumped into the French club by owners Qatar Sports Investments since 2011 has enabled them to dominate domestically. In Europe, though, not so much.center_img Read Also: Rohr tips Bayern for UCL  title, laments Eagles absence Neymar’s assist took him to 59 goal involvements (35 goals, 24 assists) in 59 appearances in the Champions League and while Mbappe’s finishing was rusty, he was still able to regularly fashion chances for himself and others. When this trio have started together this season, PSG have lost just one of 12 games. With them fully fit and firing, they will be a match for whoever they face in the final. FacebookTwitterWhatsAppEmail分享 The former, who scored the first of two late goals in a comeback win over Atalanta in the last eight, rose to head home a superbly delivered free-kick from Di Maria. The Argentine forward then finished well from close range following an audacious flick from Neymar after Leipzig goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi had relinquished possession with a dire kick. Thomas Tuchel, though, has found a way to break the glass ceiling, leading the side from the French capital to their first major European final since the Cup Winners’ Cup in 1997, a year before Mbappe was born. You cannot begrudge them it either on the basis of Tuesday’s performance, which was calm, confident and incisive, in contrast to a nervy and often negligent display from their opponents. The first and third goals gave Di Maria his 88th and 89th assist in all competitions since he joined the club in August 2015 – only Barcelona’s Lionel Messi has more in Europe’s top five leagues in that time. He also now has nine goal involvements in the competition this season, surpassing the tally he managed in helping Real Madrid lift the trophy in 2013-14.last_img

This project is an artist’s studio in the backyard of an existing house in Thornbury, which was done in collaboration with Phillip Johnson Landscaping. The brief was to create a beautifully detailed, creative space for painting and sculpturing that would encourage and inspire creativity. The studio was to sit comfortably within an organic landscape design which included a natural pool that did not require chlorine, a waterfall and creek, which was to provide a recreational space for the children.Save this picture!© Folded Bird PhotographyThe external materials chosen for the studio were all natural materials with an emphasis on timber that would silver over time, making it blend in with the timbers, water and rocks of the landscape.  Internally, the blackbutt flooring and plywood were used on the floors, walls and ceiling not only as a robust surface for artwork, but to blur the traditional boundaries of floors, walls and ceiling so that it did not feel like a conventional residential space.  Instead, the result is a unique, sculptured space that is warm and textured, designed for indirect light ideal for painting and sculpture.Save this picture!© Folded Bird PhotographyThe roof of the studio was used to warm the water of the pool in the colder months, whilst the water from the roof ran down the decorative rainchain into the pool to replace the water that was lost through evaporation.  The overflow of the pool was connected to a creek that run through the backyard, connecting the different areas of the landscape.Save this picture!© Folded Bird PhotographyProject gallerySee allShow lessAnchorena / Proyecto CSelected ProjectsHouse Krailling / Unterlandstättner ArchitektenSelected Projects Share 2014 “COPY” Richard Linguard Consulting Engineers Australia Year:  CopyHouses•Thornbury, Australia Dick Reynolds Buildingcenter_img Manufacturers: Tait Flooring ArchDaily Phillip Johnson Landscapes “COPY” Projects Landscape: Artist’s Studio / Chan Architecture ShareFacebookTwitterPinterestWhatsappMailOrhttps://www.archdaily.com/553370/artist-s-studio-chan-architecture Clipboard Architects: Chan Architecture Year Completion year of this architecture project CopyAbout this officeChan ArchitectureOfficeFollowProductsWoodSteelConcrete#TagsProjectsBuilt ProjectsSelected ProjectsResidential ArchitectureHousesWoodHousesThornburyAustraliaPublished on October 06, 2014Cite: “Artist’s Studio / Chan Architecture” 06 Oct 2014.
